Be good to yourself, your family and the environment by growing plants the natural way..
Order your seeds for you vegetable garden. In a couple of weeks you start planting radishes, lettuce, greens, carrots and turnips. Now is the time to plant your fruit bearing plants, Apples, pomegranite, blackberry, strawberry, and figs do well here.
Work compost or well-rotted manure into the beds where you plan to plant your tomatoes and peppers and sow a cover crop of winter rye.2 weeks before you are ready to plant till in the cover crop to add organic matter to the soil. Fertilize your ornamental plants now with an organic fertilizer such as Espoma Plantone or topdress with well-made compost. Now is also the time to do any necessary pruning.
