HOUSEPLANT CARE INSTRUCTIONS

<< return to gardening tips index

1. Allow the soil to dry to the touch to a depth of 1” before watering. Over-watering is the most common cause of death in house plants. The symptoms of over-watering are very similar to under- watering which includes wilting. Over-watering causes root rot which kills the roots making them incapable of taking up water thus causing wilting to occur. The natural tendency is to pour on more water when wilting occurs. However under conditions of over-watering this action only causes the problem to become more severe.

2. Do not allow water to stand in the saucer after the soil drains through the plant. Pour the excess water out.

3. Fertilize with NEPTUNE'S HARVEST FISH FERTILIZER once per month beginning about 1 month after purchase.

4. Locate the plant in bright light but away from direct sunlight.
